Phase Driver

Am I depressed, or is this just a phase?

I don't know if this is depression or normal teenage angst.

Since late October, I've felt completely hopeless with just everything. I feel like no matter where I go, I'll never fit in. I don't mean "fit in" by being part of a clique exactly, but that I just won't ever feel...not alone. In every situation I imagine my life possibly ending up, I'm not happy with it at all. I just can't see myself happy anywhere.

I don't fit in at my school (pretty much everyone hates me), and while that doesn't really bother me that much, I don't have much of a social life because of it (no driver's license, and my parents don't take me anywhere). I feel so isolated, and as much as that sucks, it's almost better than talking to my friends, because they're always telling me about the incredible times they have with other friends. I feel so alone.

Is this just a teenager phase? It feels like it's going to last forever.

Any help is really appreciated.

Yeah, I used to feel like that too. It won't last forever, I can promise you that. If you feel isolated, find a way to get out of the house. Maybe walk or take a city bus. (:

And I doubt everyone hates you at your school, I remember I used to think that about myself but I found out later people didn't hate me, they just gave me space because of the way I was acting. People don't hate you, they just tend to stay away from people that aren't acting themselves. You know, EVERY LIVING THING wants to be loved, everyone want to fit in. Everyone at you're school is going through the same thing, I can promise you that. Everyone is trying their hardest to fit in. It's hard to stay happy sometimes but if you wake up every morning and force yourself to say out-loud, "Thank you God for this morning." You WILL be happier. I know it's normal to want to fit in, but maybe you should try just being yourself, and try not to worry what other people think of you.
