Omron Limit

How do you remove a limit that look like this?
There are two cables http://www.omron.com.au/product_info/V/v_limit_switch.jpg running to it. The son of one outgoing, the other seems to be stuck in place, but when I take out, the race is. What do you do these things cut which prevents you from? (And yes I know it's a safety issue should not raise this question ...)
This is not a limit. It is simply a switch. What is connected is important. Could you please tell us ie.brake sell, accelerator, brake or something.
